Thy Womb

Thy Womb

A pose with a churchmember Imee Narciso after watching the award winning movie Thy Womb starred by Nora Aunor, A Filipino actress who took the Best Actress award in this year, 2013 Asian Film Festival held in HongKong for the film Thy Womb

Thy Womb, such a moving, down-to-earth movie which depicts woman’s inability to have a child which was very much expected from her by his husband; her sacrifice and struggle to look for a second wife who can give her husband a child was very touching, a movie to watch by women. Though the setting was in a Moro community where the man can have more wives but the movie captured the agony and joy of a barren wife, ironically a midwife who helps women give birth but she can not give a child to her husband who long for all his life a child of his own. The wife’s sacrifice for love and happiness afforded to a husband was so clearly portrayed. Indeed, no other was able to give justice to the portrayal of the role, only Ms. Aunor who was the Best Actress of 2013 Asian Film Festival.

One of the very few relevant movies of our time. People around the globe regardless of color and religion should go and watch it.
