The Dawn

Beneath the soil grave an echo cried out

Arise brother, sister succumb not to fiendish death

Come, breath long, wide and deep

Permit not the wicked to seize natures’ precious gifts.

Your life’s disintegrated by enemies of steel

Yet unyielding to any oppressive aliens

Live with joy in solidarity with others

Learn to struggle be firm with your stance.

Never become a slave to the ups and those in highs

Nor bow to the lords of the land you dwell

It is ours, our only place for the Filipino people

Must care it or depart from it we will die for nothing

Our forebears fought well the tyrants

But commend high to genuine revolutionaries

Into the altar of change announcing the coming of the golden dawn

When red banners and flags Are floating high above
